Terry grew up in Harper Kansas and is a graduate of Hesston College '77, Bethel College (Kansas) '81, and AMBS '90.  Before going into the ministry, he was a carpenter with his father for eight years prior to beginning seminary.  He served at the Pine Grove Mennonite Church in Stryker Ohio, before coming to KMC.

One of the passions of Terry's ministry is the development of a new generation of leaders for the church through an internship for ministry exploration. 

Terry and his wife Kay have three daughters, Bethany (Scott) Nussbaum, Krista (Craig) Mast and Kelsey.  Other than ministry Terry enjoys music, birdwatching and riding his motorcycle through the hills of Ohio.
